Navigate to https://my.telegram.org/auth?to=deactivate in your Android’s web browser. Most Androids come with Chrome (the round blue, red, yellow, and green icon typically found on the home screen). If you don’t have Chrome, open the app you use to browse the web.

  • It’s not possible to delete your account using the Telegram app.

Type your international phone number. Telegram requires a country code (e.g. +1 for the US) to appear before the phone number.
 
Tap Next. Telegram will send you a text message that contains an authentication code.
 
Type the code from the text message. Type or paste it into the box labeled “Confirmation code.”
 

Tap Deactivate account. A confirmation page will appear.

  • Deleting your account will permanently delete all of your Telegram messages and contacts.
Tap Done. You can also enter a reason for leaving into the “Why are you leaving?” blank if you desire.
 

Tap Yes, delete my telegram account. Your Telegram account is now deleted.

  • To delete the Telegram app from your phone or tablet, tap and hold the icon in the app drawer, drag it to Uninstall, then tap OK to confirm.
